In 1956 Better Homes and Gardens cookbook is a recipe for Fudge brownies, someone made this recipe?
I'm far From Home and my cookbooks and have not been able to find the recipe on the line …. mix in a pot on the stove, not a mixer. No baking powder and mix in a pot on the stove before putting them in the 8×8 pan and baked.

Ingredients: 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate 1 / 3 cup butter 1 cup sugar 2 eggs 3 / 4 cup flour 1 / 2 teaspoon baking powder 1 / 2 teaspoon 1 / 2 cup broken walnuts Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift all ingredients dry (flour, baking powder and salt), and set aside. Melt chocolate and butter in a bain marie (a bowl that is in another pot of boiling water). Remove from heat, whisk sugar and eggs. Mix dry ingredients and mix walnuts. Spread ingredients combined in a well-greased 8-inch square. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until top crust is boring. A light footprint will be left when the top is lightly touched with finger. Cool slightly, then cut into squares.
